: My wife would like me to dye a Canadian flag into the hatch cover of the new
: kit S&G I'm about to build for her. I'll also be dyeing the deck sheer
: panels and coaming lip but I'm not sure of a good technique to dye a sharp

Have you considered paint rather than dye? Most dyes tend to be slightly transparent and you might not get the coverage you need in the centre white panel with a dye...
If you do want to try a dye, I suggest that you use some of the scrap you have lying around and try with that first!
