A good plane will let you cut scarf joints in the plywood for your S&G, and later help you make rolling bevels and fair the hull of your stripper.

An electric (cord or cordless) variable speed drill/ screwdriver has multiple uses. Mostly it speeds up making a worktable or a strongback. With S&G it makes nice holes for your wires for stitching.

A good handsaw works well, but so does a cirular saw for cutting plywood.

A saber saw cuts the S&G panels, but you can also do this with a sharp utility knife. Just go over the lines several times with very little pressure -- let the knife do the work -- and use a new, sharp blade.

After that you go to the hardware store and invent reasons to buy the other toys they have there :)
