In Response To: Strip: Sheer strip on 14' Great Auk Trouble (Bruce)
I had this same problem with a rounded version of Little Auk. I couldn’t make a rolling bevel that worked for me so I used a product similar to auto body putty called Tuff Fill that comes in wood colors but is not generally available to the public. I waxed the fixed strip, buttered the new strip with Tuff Fill which sets in five minutes, cleaned it ups and glued it into place.
Tuff Carve and Tuff Fill is manufactured by “FREEMAN MAG. & SUPPLY CO, 1246 W. 70 STREET, CLEVELAND, OHIO 44102 (216) 961-4200”

John Monroe -- 9/16/2003, 4:26 am- Use Tuff Carve not Tuff Fill which is too hard. *NM*
