Being a relative "newbie" to the sport of kayaking (been a surfer for 42 years and am finally widening my horizons!) I have a question concerning several of the boats in one of the photos. I am impressed with the beauty of strip boats, although my first two are going to be S & G as I want in the water as fast as I can, and there is on shot of several strippers with absolutely no deck rigging. While this turns a beautiful boat into an elegant work of art is there a trade off on the safety side. For instance, what the heck do you grab hold of for a wet entry? Certainly not that highly varnished/wet/now slick deck! Or if you can own something this beautiful have you reached the plateau where you never have to worry about that? Just wondering.
