This is similar to what I did. I molded a hat channel of glass and CF about 12" long and cut several 'padeyes' about 5/8" wide each. Sanded the hull surfaces and epoxied the padeyes in place. They are plenty strong.

: I always put padeyes inside my hatches - especially to tie the 10 liter water
: bladders in place if I don't have a full load - keeps me from worrying
: about the magnetic hatches getting popped open by gear shifting as well.
: I've got some pictures on the camera but won't get them posted until tomorrow
: at the earliest. I use 1" plastic D-rings like would be used with
: nylon webbing, attached to the boat with carbon fiber brackets. I make up
: an 18" length of bracket material by laying up 3 or 4 layers of glass
: & CF in a mold. One side is a 1x4 with a 5/16" bullnosed groove
: routed down the centerline. The other side of the sandwich is a flat 1x4
: holding a 1/4" dowel in the groove.
: Don't know if the pp above is clear enough. Maybe it will work with
: tomorrow's pictures.
