In Response To: S&G: no sheer clamps? (dave williams)

I just finished the first varnish coat on my S+G Night Heron. Missed the Newfound Rendezvous by a week, drat! Anyway, rolling the fiberglass was not that difficult, just took a lot of patience. I rolled and rerolled 2 times on each side, then ran additional epoxy down the side as suggested above. Really no problem. It would have been easier if I had cut the hatches first but still no problem in the end.
BTW, this is the first boat I built by myself having built a Merganser with Eric Schade last year. Go for it, it isn't bad at all!
