The Rendezvous was great - it was nice to see the regulars again and to put some faces to new names.

Nick and Jay - Thanks for showing interest in my new kayak and giving it a test paddle. I felt particularly honored. It was a highlight of the trip.

Greg - yes, it did trim at the DWL. A practical test of my math. I must have got it right.

David - Yes, I hope to sell plans sometime. I'll probably sell printed forms before I get to writing the full set of instructions to complete the plans.

Danny - I stopped in the Finger Lakes on the way home and paddled a bit. It felt fairly neutral in some strong quartering winds. I was not sure what to expect from its prominent bow, but it didn't show any noticeable weather/lee cocking.

John - The multi-colored cedar on the hull was just what I had available from some Home Depot planks. Given a choice, I prefer solid color strips, but the hull still looks ok with the two-tone ones.

I'll post another photo tonight or tomorrow. I took a few more pictures yesterday, but havn't had a chance to upload them yet.
