I have used both the spray-on and Wedgewood contact cements with Velcro in my Pygmy - for seats and removable hip braces. I used the Pygmy velcro for my seat, and 4" wide velcro from Seattle Fabrics for my braces. I found that the velcro sucks up a lot of glue -- you may have to put on several coats before the velcro is adequately saturated to give the glue a smooth, glossy coat as is recommended in one of the contact cement manufacturer's directions. The drying is also a key part of the process.

You'll be able to get the contact cement off the hull with a little sandpaper and elbow grease. It's easy enough to slap on a light coat of epoxy if you need before fitting your next seat.
