Paddle: the reason ww and cold water go crazy

I just bought my first dry top and now know why ww and cold-water paddlers do crazy things. They are suffering from oxygen depravation and loss of blood flow to the brain.
My neck gasket is so tight that I find it hard to breath! Any suggestions before I start cutting down the neck gasket?
