Hello,
I have just started glassing my Guillemot Expedition Single and have a few questions:
The glass seems to have wetted out ok, but in some places it looks like small ripples of glass with the peaks floating off of the wood and the troughs lying on the wood. No air bubbles, but the glass does not look like it is sitting flat on the woood. I tried to push these ripples flat but to no avail. Is this a problem or will this "effect" be covered up with the fill coat that I am about to apply ? How could I try and avoid this in the future ?
When I squeegeed the execess epoxy off the boat, I was not able to get a completly flat finish. Small ridges of epoxy remained on the boat. Again, will this "effect" be covered by the fill coat, or should I do something about it before I put the fill coat on ?
Many thanks
Ian
