: Is there an archive somewhere of strip deck designs? I am looking for
: artistic & unusual ideas for my winter project.

Its well worth building your own archive for inspiration. Not just
photos of other people's boats, but your own sketches. I always make
a point of saving photos of boats I like (and some I really don't!)
as I see them posted. Browsing sites reached through links on this
BBS also results in plenty of inspiration. Lots of photos from events
like R2K . Also try searching the archives on those words people use
in the subject line of responses to photos of nice boats. Try "gorgeous",
"beautiful" and "wow" ;-)

Here's a couple of deck designs from my sketching phase - the lower one
was the one I actually built - see the link. Incidentally, when I printed
out a load of boat outlines to sketch on, I found my kids and their friends
were also budding deck-design artists, although their ideas didn't show much
appreciation for how the designs would actually get built - some of them
would probably have been good for doing in veneer, rather than as strips.
