We've done the trip 3 years out of the last four, always at the end of September. Water is low, but the days are warm and the nights cool. We're launching at Mineral Bottom, and running from there to Spanish Bottom on the Colorado. Tex picks us up with their jetboat for the return up the Colorado to Moab. Can't recommend the trip enough!
