Along the keel line I don't try to bevel to make a laser-sharpened knife-edge. I get bored of planing well before that point. But the final shape pretty well matches the designed shape, though maybe a little thicker. I did not feel I need to round over the keel too much. Any thing sharper than about 1/8" radius should be rounded just so the glass has a prayer of conforming.
