My plan is to bevel some and add some hardwood strips on the stem regions for the bow and stern. Hardwood on the chines and keel might look really cool too.

On the S&G Night Heron there are several external forms to help get the hull panels correct. I have listed them below with some calculations:

After I calculated these it is clear that hitting the edge with a little sandpaper is enough in most places since the bevel needed is less than 1/16 of an inch to make the panels meet perfectly. At the stern and the bow about 1/2 to 3/4 an inch is enough.
