OK, that's some food for thought. Being a beginner, I like the idea of practicing on the hull first. But if I intend to wrap strips over from the deck, doesn't that prevent me from starting with the hull sheer strip as recommended? And the deck sheer strip too, for that matter? What about starting by stripping the hull and the deck edges in the usual, sheer-first way, and then (carefully) cutting out as needed to make room for the overlapping deck strips? Sounds like tricky, finicky work, but I guess I need to get used to that...
