Mariner has had an adjustable sliding seat/pegs for years. Hope to build a version of it this winter. I've tried it in their Mariner Max and it works. The seat slides in a pair of channels bonded to the bottom of the hull on either side of the seat plate. Your weight holds the assembly in position and you slide forward or backward by grabbing a hand-hold at the front of the seat and scooting fore or aft.
