Someone tell me how to get a smooth coat of varnish on. I think I've found and relocated my moth problem but even small dust seems to "grit" up the finish as it dries. I've put four coats with foam brush on the deck and wet sanded with 400 grit in between. My shop isn't the cleanest but its not Sanford n Son. Anyway, just wondering about tips for getting that final smooth coat if anyone achieves that? I should drag it out into full daylight and see how it looks I guess but imagine the finish will look worse (its not really so bad). Regardless, its going to get wet soon and fixed later I think.
