: Hey guys,
: Someone tell me how to get a smooth coat of varnish on. I think I've found
: and relocated my moth problem but even small dust seems to
: "grit" up the finish as it dries. I've put four coats with foam
: brush on the deck and wet sanded with 400 grit in between. My shop isn't
: the cleanest but its not Sanford n Son. Anyway, just wondering about tips
: for getting that final smooth coat if anyone achieves that? I should drag
: it out into full daylight and see how it looks I guess but imagine the
: finish will look worse (its not really so bad). Regardless, its going to
: get wet soon and fixed later I think. Have a good weekend.

Sweeping the shop (well in advance) with that oil-impregnated sawdust sweeping compound, misting the air to knock down the dust, pour your varnish through a strainer and follow Rob Mack's application techniques. Have fun!
