I think Tom hit the nail right on the head about paddler size for the Guillemot 'L'. It really is a big person's boat.

I'm 6'-6", 190 lbs, size 14 feet, and it's too big for me.

I stretched a standard Guillemot to 18', and absolutely love it--left the beam at 21". I've been paddling it for 4 years now.

Foot size isn't terribly critical--you can point your toes forward somewhat, and you'll find a surprising amount of room.

The Guillemot isn't a strong tracking kayak, but is wonderfully responsive to your paddle strokes.

: I'd like to read any comments from Guillemot "L" owners.
: I'd like to fabricate one. But before starting, I wish to read about your
: experience with that kayak. What's the weight of it, how it tracks and
: react in the waves and the wind. I'm 6'-3", 235# with shoes size 12.
: Thank you all.
