It is well known that the certification process for farm grown mahogany is very corrupt. Even if we can assume that the "vast majority" of mahogany is farm certified, the demand by consumers like us puts great pressures on the wild reserves. It is a defect of human nature to deny a problem exists by pointing out a bigger problem (example: farming or fire destroy more), or to say one little boat won't be a problem. But those little decissions by to many people add up to big problems world wide for a lot of things.
