My yak has several spots that look like bruises in the plywood. It’s probably water, which entered a closed space at the bow. I forgot to seal the deck - bow bulkhead, and water got into the space from the forward storage. This probably happened with in the last month.
I drilled through the deck, and removed as much of the urethane foam from the area as I can reach through the hole. The yak’s been in the sun so the area’s been given a chance to dry out, and now seems to be dry.
I haven’t done the bulkhead seal yet, but will once the water’s completely gone.
Is this enough, or should I do more to protect/restore the hull Okoume?
