If you can build a bow, you can build an SOF kayak. They really don't require much in the way of woodworking skills. The process is just a bunch of simple skills that you learn as you go. I would suggest that you also pick up Mark Starr's book. Between the three books, you'll have a good perspective on the process and alternative methods for many of the steps.
