Well, the rebuild is goign slower than I hoped. I really wanted to have it done by now but the weather has cooled off a lot and time is a scarce comodity. I have managed to trim and attach the bit of foredeck I recovered from the rapids. I removed all traces of varnish and ground all surfaces clean and trim. I also cut the pieces of sheer panel patches I needed and tied them in. The lines look fairly good so far. Today I'll be tying in the main piece of recovered foredeck (the cockpit section) and adding the pieces that form the opening for the front hatch.
The pictures (see link) show the patches installed and the ensuing lines. Gotta go get more Chartreuse, the old new bottle is empty.
