While reading the thread on the circular/table saw, I felt my gut twitch,( a condition that arises when I'm near something dangerous, like the edge of a roof on a high-rise, or climbing out on a beam to work on a piece of equipment).
This reflex tells me that something could go seriuosly wrong and heightens my awareness.
I agree that anything posted on this, or any other public forum should be filtered through the grid of ""who will use the advice?""
As was said, we all have done something dangerous in our shops. I would hate to hear of someone suffering because of a suggestion that I made that was dangerous.
Small table saws are not THAT expensive, considering the total cost of the project, and certainly, the cost of an eye or finger.
