Aaron, that is a pretty neat fixture. A good solid screwing down so we're sure a bound blade won't send the saw running down the hall, and that looks like a decent way to go.
Down in the first of the safety threads, I mentioned an aftermarket thing that I was having trouble describing. Finally found the link. It's a lot like your setup. Kind of an interesting thing in any case. Haven't fully formed an opinion on it though.
