Thanks for the heads up. My belt sander must be fairly small as I can wave it around with one hand and I don't expect that it will cause me too much damage not now, nor in the future.

On a brighter note, the guillemot s&g #2 launching went fine. Weather here in Wellington New Zealand is uninspiring. Cool, overcast and windy (windy for us is 20 - 25 knots). We launched with little ceremony: "May good save all that sail in this boat" .... kersplash; in a sheltered bay and I was thrilled to see sons 1 & 2 swanning around like pros in the Guillemot s&gs. Yup there is a flock of guillemots loose in New Zealand as of now. The new boat doesn't leak, the spray skirt fits, the seat isn't too high after all and the boat performs just as good as the original. Maybe better as Son #1, a 15 year old, who has spent quite a bit of time kayaking by now, got some doozy chop surf rides.

More stories and photos to come in about a months time when the guillemot s&g is sanded, varnished and shiney and presentable ... And I have had a go.
