Normally I would agree, but this boat is for a friend's father. I wanted it to be perfect. I am tempted to shelve this one and keep it for myself and just start over.

: There is really no way to get rid of ripples and whitening without sanding
: away the glass. You could just sand locally to the problem and then patch
: in glass over the sanded areas. This will tend to leave a halo around the
: perimeter of where you have sanded into the wood. If you can sand enough

: Otherwise it might require sanding the whole thing it you want absolutely
: no sign of any problem. Personally I would just sand locally and learn to
