On beveling the internal stem pieces of the end forms(Guillemot kayak).
Do I bevel just the upsweep portion of the internal stem up to the sheer line? or do I bevel part-way around the end of the internal stem onto the deck portion of the internal stem?
Where do I stop beveling the internal stems?
I know I start with glueing on the sheer strips, for the hull, to the internal stem. I am puzzled on how to make the end points of the kayak.
So above the sheer strip for the hull, I put a sheer strip for the deck. Does the top of the internal stem then need to be beveled so the strips coming in, on the deck can connect with the internal stem, at an angle or do i leave the stem flat at the top of the ends?
I am stumped at a preliminary point here, but have received such good advice in the past thru this BB, I will ask another question. Thank you everyone for your input.
When building on my own, without another builder to make suggestions, it is great to have a place to go with questions, not many strip builders in North-Central Wisconsin.that i know of.
