: pictures of the boat in an hour or two. Its a beautiful shape and I am
: eager to finish it and compare it to my WR162 on the water.

: However, the sharp bow and stern of this boat have me worried. They present a
: bit of a hazard to other people and boats on the water and offer a fragile
: point to break off during handling.

I built a Merganser 17' hybrid in the spring, And I can recall feeling the same way about the pointy ends ,before the deck was stripped.

I decided to build it as designed and when it was finished I was not concerned about the ends. It all seems to fit with the design and no objects have been impaled!!

Some greenland boats have Knobs on the tips so you could do something like that if you wanted but it may take away from the sleek look of the boat.?
