Scott - even if you were feeling grumpy this morning when you posted, you made one particularly excellent point. People are ultimately responsible for their own actions, and the fact that we sometimes feel obligated to add a disclaimer to our comments is a sad commentary on how litigious society has become. I caught myself doing it again today, telling a friend "Don't take my word for it" (in a conversation about finances). He quite correctly chastised me for saying that.
On the other hand, Patsy makes a good point also, that not everyone on the board is familiar with every type of tool. So safety comments are valuable. But they should be offered freely -- not through some vague feeling of paranoid obligation.
