Damn, I just posted a quation to the group and noticed the post just below and your response Nick. I'd like to get a couple of your plans for myslef and a bud around the corner.
Did you make any changes since 10 weeks ago when I was last in civilization? Any long term impressions and thoughts? We're looking to make light-weight S&G for long paddle trips of a month or more between resupplies. Also, the yak needs to be sea-worthy for rough water and high winds, and needs neither rudder or skeg box. Looks like your design is it, do you think so too?
Here's another question, and forgive me for not considering your very limited time but could you tweak your design for a cost we'll pay for? We're looking to add a tiny bit of volume in the bows by making the forward deck flat versus the shallow V deck in section. Is that possible to do in the plans? Cost is not an issue, we have big feet and desire to make flush forward hatches with a flush hinge.
Looking forward to hear from you either on the BBS or if you wish, off the BBS at kbbb.mail@cox.net or kayak.mail@cox.net
thanx
MIke
