I have been paddling the boat all summer and still like it. I have done 50 mile day trips in it, played in hurricane surf and tidal falls and a lot of conditions in between. It is has performed well. I don't feel it needs a skeg, although I expect some people would like one in certain conditions.
I would not recommend the boat for month-long trips as-is. As it is now the volume is not great for a lot of gear. I would also want to raise the sheer towards the ends if the boat was carrying a lot of weight to help get over waves.
