I just finished the recess and combing riser.

the boat is ready for removing staples and fairing.

i added a few more tools to the list i forgot to add the sanding station belt and disc. and just bought a bench bandsaw to shape paddle blanks. the band saw was invauable for making all the combing pieces, and the initial shaping of the recess curves.

although i could have made the paddle entirely by hand, the band saw let me finish it in about 6 hours i imagine cutting by hand would have taken twice that long. well worth it.

i also bought an industrial staple remover, and it works pretty well, but not as good i expected.
