17. you're at the beach and clamber out of your kayak, as you scramble to grab the foreward toggle the palm of your hand accidentally slams down on a sharp point.
18. the kayak is sitting on some saw horses and a child walks into the shop and runs into a sharp point.

If a person is going to leave a sharp point made out of glass, plywood and epoxy you might as well cut off the end of a ss. spear and put it on there. Spear heads are made out of metal or bone. Less maintenance and more effective for repeated use.
