I've always done a lot of laminating. It never ceases to amaze me how much strength is gained in the process. I'm doing the whole project in thin WRC so I have to be careful to add reinforcement. I should end up with a pretty light boat; I'm shooting for something in the 25-30lbs range.

: BTW, where did you get the gunwales?

Dunn Lumber. They aren't the cheapest but they have good wood and they give me free reign out in the yard. Cedar King in Redmond is the cheapest I think.
