I wish I started it earlier in the year so it would have been done by now but between work and the wife it hard to find time to work on it some times.

Mike,
the wood ends were not too hard to fit in I used a band saw to ruff fit them, than used a bench sander to get it to fit nice. I used epoxy to anchor them.
