Chuck,

I used the 5oz Raka cloth on the hull of my last boat. I had trouble getting a clear wet out with the 5oz. There seem to be a very slight grid pattern that wouldn't go away. On the other hand, it took fewer fill coats to get a smooth surface and gave a lighter laminate.

I ended up using a regular 6oz cloth on the deck to avoid the grid. I would use it again on the interior or hull but wouldn't risk it on a deck. Too many have had problems with getting a clar wet out.
