I just found this q&a section on mold prepping while looking up "mold wax" on google.

One I looked at earlier mentioned that a new mold (plug) needs to be waxed at least 10 times before the first use.

You may want to keep an eye on Jack Sanderson's posts also, to see what the Pro's are up to.
