I have to agree with Rick. The price seems quite high for a boat with so many problems. Given the number of items you see that need to be fixed, I find it hard to believe that the hull is straight and fair and that it is adequately strong. So many of the flaws sound like basic sloppiness that I can't see a builder making a perfect hull and then messing up everything else.

As with many things, its easier to do it right the first time. You seem to have a realistic view of the work needed on the boat and high standards of what you want in a boat. Go for a new kit and do it right the first time. Expend your effort in building the boat you want, not fixing someone elses errors.
