Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it is buttoned down tight--it looked pretty good when we taped it and glued (with a couple of stitches where it was bad), but it didn't hold. The hull itself is very fair--I'd rather mess with the deck at this point than risk changing the shape of the hull. Temperatures in my area are 30 degrees cooler than they were three weeks ago (when the deck fit the hull much better). I'd love to try prying it out, but I think I'd be risking more hull and deck damage than the problem warrants.
