On my folder, I coated the woven portion of the zipper tape with skin coating, but still had plenty of leakage at the zipper, especially when rolling and balance bracing.

I was unused to the performance of a folder--it felt funny to feel every wave that passed under the kayak. However, it seemed to be about as fast as the "real" Anas Acuta, but was even less affected by wind.

It wanted to surf every wave that passed under it!

I have a good source for outdoor fabrics, I'll ask her if she ever sees waterproof zippers. I wonder if "zip-lock" type tape could be added as a secondary seal.

I was extremely pleased with your construction techniques, and carrying a golf travel bag on the commercial airlines is No Big Deal--which is a very good thing. I'm ready to try inwales and work hard on this zipper problem.
