If it will take even longer to fix it then I might as well just go ahead and build one. You guys are right. I guess I am a blinded by the performance and weight of the boat. Having just bought a fairly expensive boat, can you really blame me for thinking $300 less for better all around base qualities was a good deal?

I do tend to be impulsive, but having this boat around, thinking about it, and hearing the unanimous advice here has given me time to "cool off" a bit and think.

I won't buy this boat. Not only since I now have heard about what it takes to re-do it, but mostly because of one of the last posts. I just can't be sure about the structural integrity. The entire job has to make me suspect that just maybe the epoxy may not have been mixed or used right.

You all are right, I'll order a kit and build it like I mean it.

A bit like trying to talk a jumper off the roof huh?

Now. If I buy a kit, and begin building it on my deck as homeboy says, can I cover the stitched together hull with a tarp and not have to worry about humidity warping it as long as I let it dry out and check alignment before I glass it in the spring? Or can I glass it in the winter if we have warm days? How warm and for how long? Can you really build "in the open" like this? Can it sit outside through snows or ice? When would I need to bring it in?
You're saying only a couple weekends till glassing. So maybe I could have it done before it starts getting real cold here in Eastern NC?
