: Jack,
: Is the core material Lantor Soric? Yes it is.

:What do you think of the stuff? I've been investigating the options for vacuum infusion and would be interested in your thoughts about it.

I was impressed with the stuff. It lay in the hull and deck with minimal wrinkles and wet out the whole boat with two layers of carbon in 15 minutes. We used a vinylester resin for a cheap gel coat and to wet out this prototype. We will be doing an epoxy version next week which may not flow as quickly but should produce a more durable boat and we won't have to wear resperators for two days before the styrene fumes disapate.

It comes in a XF and SF version. The SF produces a smoother finish with less chance of print through. We did get one section that will need to be buffed out with the XF core. The hull and deck didn't line up as well as the nomex cored hand lay-ups but I believe that has to do with the vinylester which srinks more than epoxy

I will know more next week after the epoxy boat.

Regards,

Jack
