If you haven't already made up your mind, you might consider the True North Expedition from Bear Mountain Boats. Its a larger version of the Endeavour, which I built. The design is very straightforward for a first-time builder. No tricky bends or curves. I find the Endeavour quite stable. I'd expect the True North to be even more so. I am 215 lbs.
