: I know either tool will work for making strips. However, is there a preferred
: tool for cutting strips? From what I've read, the band saw may be more
: accurate but it's slower. Does anyone else have any feedback on pluses or
: minuses of either tool? Availability isn't an issue as I have one and have
: access to the other.

: PS - I was planning on beading and coving my strips too. If that influences
: your opinion.

Well, cutting strips is tedious. So, I use my 10" tablesaw. I've got a 14" bandsaw that I can resaw 12" deep wood for guitar-building, but still use the tablesaw for strips. Quicker and easier for me. On my next boat, I'll use the bandsaw to resaw a 2x12x20' wrc plank into 2 boards, then cut them into strips on the tablesaw. That will make some bookmatching of strips possible. I also like the lower working height of the tablesaw for cutting strips.
