This is really like comparing apples and oranges. Each tool is designed for different tasks. I would certainly disagree with your thoughts that a bandsaw might be more accurate on straight cuts. True...a bandsaw can make straight cuts, but not anywhere nearly so accurate as a well tuned tablesaw. I can cut curves on a tablesaw, but not anywhere nearly so well as on the bandsaw. I can resaw on either saw...but the bandsaw is better for that purpose. I currently own a 20", an 18", and a 14" bandsaw...and a 10" tablesaw, as well as quite a few other types of saws and tools. I will be buying a new 12", heavy duty, cabinet style tablesaw after my shop is finished. For a professional wood worker (which I was for many years...I guess, still am) a tablesaw is one of the most important, and probably the first stationary power tool that a shop should have. I would hate to do without the bandsaw, though. So...back to your question. I believe the tablesaw is best for cutting strips...regardless of whether you will be going square edge, or bead and cove. However...you can use what you've got.
