If you wet the strips with water you will get a pretty good Idea how they will look once you get them covered with glass and epoxy. Once the kayak is finished the colors will darken a bit with the exposure to the Suns UV but not dramatically. Any thing you do to the strips now to change their color will only disappear once you get to faring the hull and final sanding.
