Leo-- Very sorry to hear about your accident. I'm sure the boat will be repairable. Usually, it's much easier to not try and make the repair invisible because it never will be. If there is a way to make the patch a design element of the boat it will be less noticable as a patch.

What I am very curious about is what the structural failure was that led to the truck and boat going separate ways. You mentioned that the rack stayed on the truck but the saddles came off with the boat. Did the bolts break or something else?
