Here in LA,Ca we would have to have two ducts for the combustion make up air for the burners. The code used to allow the interior air of the room to be used. If you can seal the furnace room off and add the outside air supply things would be better. The local code will give you the amount per BTU. If you do not want to talk to the MAN at government the librery may have the code book. The dust added to the flame may shorten the life of the heat exchangers.
