: Someone like yourself who likes to see constructive input to help others
: build boats, not repetitive harping on pet peeves and pointed negative
: comments. Just because someone posts for years does not necessarily mean
: he is right. He shows his true colors in all his other posts in this
: thread. He often seems to have informative, constructive posts. Hope he
: keeps it that way. My original post questioned his negativity. Sure-enough
: he admitted he was what I suggested. Most of the time I enjoy his posts as
: you do. Lets get back to building...

"isaiah" you came in with a personal attack. Who the hell are YOU that you take this thread personally? Just because CLC grew on marketing hyperbole and glossy catalogs from a smart fellow with an engaging writing manner in a market where actual socialization of builders with their boats IN the conditions they were designed for is rare doesn't mean good sales make good designs. GM sells a lot of K-cars. so what, if someone wants a BMW they don't buy a Cadillac.

My true colors? sure I'll let folks know that if they are looking for "x" then they should go to "y". If light weight AND durability is important in a design where elements of responsive handling are important CLC is making Caveliers and Suburbans. The WR18 is a Saturn. Good show. You're now where Toyata is.
But making it personal then refusing to address the issues is the same thing I went through with CLCs partime CEO. How in the world can you justify leaving in a hull forming bulkhead and rationalize it's intrusion or purpose?
So much money is sliced off the top of CLCs profits that are not re-invested in the operation that justifying the scrambling to clean up the booboos as customer service is a clear sign of fundamental problems. You may take that as an insult,,take it as an observation. Come on, the WR18 was sitting around for over 18 months and it goes out the door with 1/3 the front compartment taken up by a ring bulkhead. And the sheer panel is changed right at the moment of production,,just like the Sass14, WR180, and Pax20. Hell, folks here have been playing with "rolling recesses" as a means to lower the aft deck. Messing with the sheer is how CLC got the Pax18 by using the same deck beam as in the Pax20. None of those decisions were based on paddling racing kayaks. Compare it's sales to the cost of it's development. You're telling me it doesn't matter that a designer doesn't build and paddle his work?
You'll dig yourself deeper if you are not capable of sticking to the issues raised.
